If there is a logo that is imitated and desired at the same time that is the apple of Apple. Although originally the company had a logo much less simple than the current one and that has been evolving, the famous fruit is one of those elements that impact by its so peculiar design.
And the controversy is served in the German country, since a company of cyclist routes has registered last year a logo that could have similarity with the technology, putting this on alert. The possibility of demand plans in the air.
Controversy with the logo of a German association
This association registered the logo in May 2018, to promote bicycle routes in the Rhine-Voreifel region. The logo is used in bicycle racks, workers’ uniforms, posters, and signs. It seems that Apple has asked the said tourism agency in that region to stop using that logo immediately, something to which they have opposed the high economic cost that can change it. In fact, they have been manifested in the following terms:
“WITH THE APFELROUTE WE HAVE A TOTALLY DIFFERENT PRODUCT AND IT IS INCREDIBLE THAT SUCH A LARGE COMPANY ATTACKS US”.
That is to say, it seems that they are delighted with this matter, which is nothing more than free publicity to promote cycling routes for that place in Germany. It is already known that the best propaganda is the one that is not planned. In addition, that the most important technology company in the world, with a capital of more than $1 trillion, is put on alert with an issue related to a small tourism association, is something a bit ridiculous. Apple will probably end up backing down before moving on with this issue.
